Collection: Teahouse

The humble tea leaf has shaped our lives for thousands of years, showing up in our storytelling, journeying around the world through trade, making medicine, playing a role in our rituals, inspiring poetry, and influencing revolution. Tea has been a means of connection across cultures, even though it perhaps came into our lives accidentally. Some versions of tea lore tell that in 2737 BC, Emperor Shennong discovered tea when leaves from a nearby tree blew into his pot of boiling water. Another tale tells of Bodhidharma, the founder of Chan Buddhism, who (after meditating for nine years) cut off his eyelids in frustration over falling asleep; where they fell, the first tea plants sprouted. While the exact origins of tea remain unknown to us, it likely originated in regions around southwest China, northern India, Myanmar, and Tibet, then became widespread during the Tang dynasty.

A multisensory exploration of tea through history and folklore, the TEAHOUSE collection is a tribute to this beloved symbol of connection, ritual, and comfort across time and cultures.

Each slime is paired with a carefully selected loose leaf tea to drink as you play, creating a fully immersive experience engaging all of the senses. You'll receive enough tea to make at least one generous mug, in addition to brewing and serving instructions.
