MÒ //

✋chewy avalanche x lava rock gravel
👃sugarcane, coconut water, makrut lime leaf, lotus flower, bamboo, rau răm, hint of lemongrass & green peppercorn

Notes: This is a sweet, green, lush, watery scent blend. Each slime comes with a 5 oz clear gravel jade-tinted slime in an 8 oz slime jar, and inside that jar there is a small baggie with the color-shifting clear perlite topper (1.5 oz roughly), as well as a smaller baggie with faux jade gems and dark green blossom charms. On the side, you will receive a 3 oz jar of chewy white scented slime. To assemble the slime, layer the white slime over the clear jade gravel slime. Let it sit overnight to create an "avalanche" effect, where the white will drip into the clear in some places, resembling a lava lamp. When you are ready to film and mix your slime, add the perlite color-shifting topper on top of everything, then decorate with the flower charms and jade gems.

Wandering through the unknown with your hands outstretched, brushing against the edges of the unfamiliar, sensing & exploring slowly, intuitively. Mò is a Vietnamese word for feeling your way forward through confusion; not barging ahead or calculating each step, but meandering, drifting, trusting the process, eventually arriving.

@mini.squish_ shares: “It’s one of my favorite words that can’t be used in English as succinctly.” It’s often translated as “to grope” or “to feel around,” but that doesn’t do justice to its softness. Mò is not frantic but exploratory. They say, “It can be used to imply ‘wandered & figured it out’ in one go. It’s whimsical, like meander, no stress or urgency. When I imagine it I think of a gentle fog, but what the fog hides is pleasant, not scary. It’s like being confused in a positive way.”

This resonated with me, as I appreciate the idea of trusting that even in our uncertainty, we are still learning & growing; it’s about the process & the journey, not speed. It reminds me of Marta Rose’s discussion of neuroemergent (neurodivergent) “spiral time” where the meandering is *part of the process* & something to be honored rather than erased by linear, tidy checklists. There is no rush or demand for precision. There is room for curiosity & patience in order to be surprised, something our hyper-productive efficiency-prioritizing society doesn’t often make room for.

She writes, “Neuroemergent people are intrinsically busy. We constantly feel, experience, & understand things NT's don't. Our minds take in the forest & the trees, simultaneously. We make unbidden rapid-fire connections. Our bodies & psyches & souls feel all the feels, intensely & deeply. The only antidote is stillness. We need to slow down [to be productive].” Perhaps we need mò!

This slime embodies mò, beginning with a blue-silver-gold-green colorshifting perlite topper (confusion, obstacles). Pushing past it yields viscous white slime, dripping & avalanching into a clear jade pool (the fog), finally meeting grounding gravel.
